Willie Raybon Obituary

Mr. Willie Clyde Raybon, 73, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 surrounded by family at Magnolia Manor in Americus, GA. He was born on October 24, 1949 to James and Janie Irene Raybon of Ellaville, GA.

Mr. Willie was a retired self-employed contractor and an ordained minister. He had a passion and talent for making music, and he loved to sing and play his guitar. In his early years, he sang country music with his twin brother, recorded an album, and even performed at the Grand Ole Opry. He loved the Lord and traveled with his family, Sue and their five daughters, for many years, singing and sharing the gospel of Jesus with others. He loved to spend time fishing and was an amazing cook. He enjoyed baking cakes with his sister and spending time with his family and friends. He lived his life to the fullest, and Mr. Willie will be remembered for his laughter, his beautiful singing voice, and his love for Jesus, which he shared with everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Raybon of Buena Vista and Larry Raybon of Ellaville.

Survivors include his children, Susan Raybon, Kimberly Reid (Jay), Jennifer Beck, Kacie Raybon, and MandiSue Latham (Bill), all of Americus; a brother, Wayne Raybon of Sierra Vista, AZ, and a sister, Janey Nash of Americus; 7 grandchildren, Gavin, Jacob, Drake, Ethan, Grayson, Milee Sue, and Bella, as well as several nieces and nephews.
