Marianna (Spann) Holloway

Marianna Spann Holloway, age 84, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, in Americus, Georgia.

Mrs. Holloway was born November 26, 1938 in Preston Georgia to the late Clayton Spann and Katie Brightwell Spann. She was an member of First Baptist Church of Americus and the Plains Garden Club. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, dancing, cooking, and taking care of her beloved dog Precious. She was preceded in death by the father of their children Dr. Clinton Holloway Sr. and her brothers Ollis Spann, Howard Spann, Allen Spann and one son-in-law, Ricky Burgess.

Funeral services will be held Thursday April 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Americus, GA. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at Americus First Baptist Church. A private entombment will be held for the family after the service.

She is survived by her son Clinton Holloway, Jr. (Lisa) of Americus, GA; her daughters Denise Holloway Burgess of Americus, Laura Holloway Faircloth (Jimmy) of Americus, GA, Lynn Holloway Farmer (Mike) of Appling, GA; her grandchildren Christy Faircloth Barry, Heather Burgess Simpson, Garrett Faircloth, Brandon Farmer, Scott Burgess, Chad Farmer, Max Holloway and Mitch Holloway; nine great grandchildren; her sister in law Bea Spann of Preston, GA; her brother in laws Alfred (Beverly) Holloway of Texas, Thomas Holloway & Donald Holloway of Americus, GA; several nieces & nephews.
