Margaret Louise Massey, 91, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at her home surrounded by family in Cordele, GA. She was born on October 12, 1931 to the late Robert Halley McDaniel & Susie Madeline Carpenter McDaniel in Cordele, GA.
Mrs. Massey enjoyed cooking for her family, fishing, word search, & she loved being with her children & grandchildren. She was married to the love of her life Willie Jackson Massey for 49 years before he sadly passed away in 2001.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Sunnyside Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Rev. Roger Blanchard Officiating. The family will receive friends & family at the home at 1003 Drayton Rd. Cordele, GA following service.
Survivors include her son Raymond Massey (Dawn Nipper) of Vienna; her daughters Diane M. Hough (Walter Bush) of Cordele, Patricia M. Blanchard (Anthony) of Cordele & Mary Ethel Massey of Cordele; her grandchildren Ray Hough (Maria) of Cordele, Brandon Massey ( Sara) of Vienna, Benjamin Massey ( Caroline Kellert) of Warner Robins, Blake Blanchard (Marina) of Cordele, Pam H. NeSmith (Ray) of Hahira; her great grandchildren Bradley Hough, Ava Massey, Kallie & Paisley Blanchard, Chad Fletcher (Laura), Crystal Fletcher (Chris Baker); great-great grandchildren Charles Sinnott, Landry Baker, Abby & Harper Fletcher; several nieces & nephews; her special friend & caregiver Cassandra Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willie Jackson Massey; her daughter Barbara Nell Massey; her brothers John lee McDaniel, Tommie McDaniel & Robert H. McDaniel; her sisters Eula Mae Martin, Earlene Thomason, Carrie Maude Thomason & Sallie Pearl Moore & her great- great grandchild Dylan Baker.
Pallbearers include Brandon Massey, Benjamin Massey, Ray Hough, Blake Blanchard, Bradley Hough, Ray NeSmith, Chad Fletcher & Ava Massey
