Obituary

Hugh Larry Christian, age 79, passed away at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta on Monday, January 10, 2022. A native of Americus, he was born June 3, 1942 to the late Hubert and Doris Christian. Hugh retired from the Marine base in Albany as an Inventory Management Specialist.
A graveside service will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00PM with Jimmy Thaxton officiating.
Survivors include a nephew Cary Christian, Jr. and his wife Linda of Americus and a niece Cynthia Lynn Boatwright and her husband Scott of Panama City Beach, FL. also surviving are a great nephews Collins Christian and Brett Boatwright and great-niece Carolina Boatwright.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Cary Christian, Sr. a great nephew Cary Ryals Christian.
The family requests in Lieu of flowers, contributions to be made to the Sumter Humane Society 108 industrial Blvd Americus, Ga 31709 in Hugh's name.
