Obituary

Betty Jane Averette, age 80, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. A native of Webster County, she was born January 6, 1941 to the late John Henry and Elizabeth Averette. Betty Jane was a very generous person and would do anything for anyone. She loved sewing and crocheting. She was also an avid gardener. She had a green thumb and loved her flowers. When she was out in her yard her beloved Dachshund would always follow.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Brother Rusty Mauldin officiating.
Survivors include a sister Shirley Ashcraft of Reynolds; one niece Beth Hill; seven great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews; also surviving are numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Magnolia Manor 2001 S. Lee St. Americus, GA. 31709 or to the Alzheimer's Association 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550 Atlanta, GA. 30346.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew Gregg Goodin.
