Austin “Buddy” Phillips, Jr., age 60, of Americus, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at his residence. Buddy was born in Panama City, FL. to Austin Phillips, Sr. and Faye Taylor on July 27, 1962. He owned and operated the Chevron on Prince St. for many years. Buddy was a member of Life Point Church. Buddy was the National 4-H winner and Trail Blazer top rank.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Life Point Church.
Survivors include his son Jonathan Phillips of Americus; daughter Savannah Phillips of Ellaville; grandchildren, Eric Cox and Laney Phillips; mother Faye Taylor of Americus; and a sister Elizabeth Wilson of Calhoun; he also has a son that he has helped raise, Jackson Tumlin of Ellaville.
He was preceded in death by his father Austin Phillips, Sr.
