William Taft Potter, age 78, of Americus, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at Phoebe Sumter. A lifelong native of Americus, Mr. Bill was born June 17, 1943, to Taft and Julia Potter. He was a truck driver and was employed at J & M for many years, before retiring. Survivors include his son William Potter, Jr. of Americus; mother Julia Potter of Americus; three sisters, Martha Castleberry, Sarah Scarbrough, and Doris Ann Potter; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willy Potter, Harold Potter, and Buster Potter, three sisters, Ann Ruth Ogletree, Mavis Crowe, and Barabara VanAssche.
