William Prather "Billy" Fulford, 78, of Americus, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He was born January 30, 1939 in Americus to the late Henry Lewis Fulford and Lillye DeVane Fulford. He was the previous owner of the Lighthouse Restaurant and was an avid golfer. Services will be private. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Fulford of Americus; son, Randy Fulford of Atlanta; and two step-daughters and son-in-law: Dee and Ben Fox of Columbus and Cheryl Collie of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are a sister, Janet Morgan of Arkansas; four nieces: Carolyn and Linton Welch of Americus, Marilyn Jafolis of Americus, Virginia and Emmett Johnson of Americus, and Dana Morgan of Key West, FL; and three grandchildren: Harris and Plen Fox of Columbus and Taylor Collie of Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd, Americus, GA 31719. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of these arrangements.
