William C. Eason, 78, of Americus died Saturday, November 17, 2018 after battling pancreatic cancer. A native of Marion County, he was born August 3, 1940 to the late Howell Compton Eason and Ozie C. Eason. He retired from truck driving after twenty-five years and went on to welding for fifteen years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his tractor, and playing the guitar. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at LifePoint Church with Rev. James Womack officiating. The family will receive friends and hour prior to the service at the church. Survivors include his son, William J. "Squeaky" Eason and his wife Stefani; granddaughter, Brittany Eason; grandson, Russ Dozier; sister, Helen Young; and special friends: Charles Drake and Dot Gay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Austin Compton Eason and Jimmy Lamar Eason. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
