Wallace Lee Norberg, age 69, of 824 Richardson Rd., Smithville, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Minneapolis, MN., he was born July 18, 1943, the son of the late Andrew Severin and Anna W. Oman Norberg. Mr. Norberg was of the Pentecostal faith and served in the Air Force. Services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Dr. Mike Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 15, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 221 S. Lee St., Americus, GA 31709. Survivors include two brothers, William James Norberg of Cambridge, MN. and Kenneth S. Norberg of Smithville; two sisters, Louise Ann Polzin of Duluth, MN. and LaVonne Eloise Anderson of Cambridge, MN.; and also a number of nieces and nephews.
