Mrs. Vivian Settles Williams, age 85, of 2124 Hwy 280 West, Plains, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Sumter Regional Hospital. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Williams was born October 9, 1923 daughter of the late Ollie Ernest Settles and Maude Barrentine Settles. She was a retired social worker with the State of Georgia and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Sumter Retirement Village, 2124 Hwy. 280 West, Plains, Georgia 31780.
