Vicky Yvonne Glover, of 1248 GA Hwy 27 E, Americus, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at her residence. She had resided in Americus for 27 years. Her remains have been cremated. She was the fifth of seven children, born to Ben and Bronie Brooks on July 6, 1940 in Thomas County, Georgia. She was of the Baptist faith. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with a visitation one hour preceding the service. Vicky is survived by both her sons, Al Glover, Jr. and Thomas (Rachelle) Glover; a brother, Dale (Velma) Brooks of Americus; a brother-in-law, DeLoy Glover of Ochlochnee, GA; a sister, Judy Lunsford of Alabama; two sisters-in-law, Lorene (Roy) Kitchens of West Virginia and Marie Brooks of Americus; two grand-daughters, Amber Rae (Jeremiah) Glover and Mandy Lea Glover, both of Clear Creek, California; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Glover, a brother, Ben Brooks, Jr., and three sisters, LaVerne Bush, LaRue Chastain, and Muzette Fennell.
