Timothy Rockwell, age 61, of 216 W. Church Street, Plains died at his residence, Friday, June 12, 2015. A native of Louisville, Ky, Mr. Rockwell was born December 31, 1953, son of the late Raymond Rockwell and the late Lois McGee Rockwell. Mr. Rockwell was a nurse working with dialysis at Piedmont Hospital and Gambro in Atlanta and Savannah. Prior to his career in nursing he was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for two years. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, where he sang in the choir. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 15th at 2 pm at Maranatha Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Hester officiating. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to an educational fund set up in the name of Mark Rockwell at Doco Credit Union, 602 Tripp Street, Americus, Ga. 31709 Survivors include his wife: Beverly Rockwell; a son, Mark Rockwell and a step-daughter, April Ferra all of Plains. A sister and brother-in-law, Kristine Tromiczak and Joseph of St. Paul, MN; three brothers, Phillip Rockwell of Rochester, NY, R .Paul Rockwell and wife Dorothy of Tionesta, PA and Mark Rockwell and husband Jerome of Philadelphia, PA, Numerous cousins, aunts and uncles also survive him. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Alexander.
