Tanya Melee Willis, beloved wife, sister, cherished family member, and friend passed away on

September 25, 2026, at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Tanya was 49 years young.

The memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Myers officiating.

Tanya was born on March 3, 1977, and was originally from Americus, Georgia. She was a

member of Central Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia, where she was part of a community of

faith that held a special place in her life.

Tanya was a loving and deeply cherished member of her family. She is survived by her husband,

Jim Willis; her four siblings, John Robert “Bob” Norman III and his wife, Kelli; Jenny Gosdin and

her husband, Chuck; Heather Lashley and her husband, Chris; and Jammie Norman. She is also

survived by her beloved aunt, Julia Lloyd, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Norman Jr.; her stepmother, Deborah

Norman, whom Tanya lovingly called “Moma”; and her grandmother, Louise Kidd.

Tanya will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the special place she

held in the hearts of those who knew her. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories cherished

by her husband, siblings, aunt, cousins, extended family, friends, and church family.
