Mr. Steve Al Carnes, age 60, of Americus, died Monday October 4, 2010, at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma. A native of Pelzer S.C., Mr. Carnes was born November 19, 1949, the son of Jack N. and Christine Bear Carnes. He was an industrial engineer and a member of Heritage Church of God. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Church of God with Bro. Bud Womack officiating. Survivors include his mother, Teeny Carnes of Williamston, SC; two daughters and son-in-law, Tami and Billy Finley of Easley, SC. and Kristanna Carnes of Americus; a brother, Michael Carnes of Williamston, S.C.; a sister, Darlene Mills of Tampa, Fl.; two grandchildren, Eliza and Weston Finley.
