Sheila June Denney, age 60, of Americus, passed away at Augusta University Medical Center on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. A native of Americus, she was born on June 1, 1960 to Sonny Dowdey and the late Shirley Dowdey. She was a member of Faith Baptist. Her faith was strong and to always serve others especially her family. She was a loving wife and mother. Her world revolved around her family. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. William Hall officiating. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Darrell Denney of Americus; one son Alex Denney of Americus; two daughters, Kari Denney of Leslie and Brooks Wright and her husband Anthony of Americus; two brothers, Rudy Dowdey and his wife Carolyn of Americus and Brain Dowdey and his wife Angie of Sasser; one sister, Marsha Dowdey; and seven grandchildren, Kensley Denney, Liam Denney, Ginniray Dumas, David Denney, Ethan Denney, Haydn Wright, and Savana Wright.
