Seabron Ray Gwynes, 80, of Americus died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. A native of Americus, he was born March 2, 1937 to the late Otis Gwynes and Eula Kitchens Gwynes. He was a member of Mt. Zion-St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oglethorpe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Americus with Dr. David Kitchens and Rev. Keith Parks officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his cousins: David and Barbara Kitchens of Americus, Ronnie and Linda Kitchens of Pelham, Tommy Kitchens of Perry, Gene and Audry Kitchens of Hideaway, TX, and Mossenia Welty of Dunwoody.
