Sara Ellen Smith, age 70, of 165 Harper Subdivision, died at her residence Saturday, November 23, 2013. A native of Atwater, OH, she was born April 28, 1943 the daughter of the late George and Lillian Haire Hall. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Pall Bearers include James Grant, Jessie Grant, Doug Larson, Travis DeVane, Jerry Hillhouse, Steven Edwards and Bobby Millwood. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee St., Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include four step-daughters and and sons-in-law, Becky and Ron Johnson of Navarre, Fl., Barbara Storey and significant other, Janet Tench of Warner Robins, Laurie and Johnny Faircloth of Americus and Donna and Jay Whitman of Americus; three sons and daughters-in-law and a step son; Charles Mays, Jr. of Americus, Tracy William and Lana Mays of Cordele, Todd and Angela Mays of Americus and Danny Smith and fiancé Debra Barfield of Americus; two sisters, Rhoda Houghton of Kent, OH and Kathy Patty of Chattanooga, TN; a brother, George Hall of Ballground; twenty two grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; a caregiver, Crystal Bullard; several nieces and nephews; close friends and family, Kenny Cromer, David Storey, Paul Smith, Rose Smith, Doris Smith, Doll Thompson, Elloise Saint, Joe and Joann Youngblood, Phillip and Liz Totty, Robert and Ruth Ann Millwood and Joe and Dennie Lawrence.
