Sara G McDaniel, age 90 of Cordele, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was born June 10, 1933 to the late James Thomas Guined and Annie Bell Wisham Guined of Butler, GA. Sara was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a foster parent for many years.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist church in Cordele, GA at 2PM with Rev. Kevin Moore, Rev Phil Streetman and Rev John Evans officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. Graveside services will follow at Arabi City Cemetery

She is survived by her sister Martha Allen of Butler, her children Gary (Dennette) McDaniel, Wayne (Emily) McDaniel, Billy Ray (Teresa) Amerson, Lynn (Melvin) Barefoot and Sara Ann (Matt) Sumner, her six grandsons and four granddaughters, her six great granddaughters and eight great grandsons and two great great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Rev. John Lee McDaniel, Sr., her infant son John Lee McDaniel, Jr., her parents, six brothers & four sisters, and her son in law Tony Brown
