Samuel Odum, Jr., age 81, of Americus passed away on Tuesday, November 01, 2022, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. He was born in Schley County on January 17, 1941 to the late Sammy Odum, Sr. & Alma Lee Odum Truluck. Mr. Odum loved spending time at the beach.

Graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:00 with Rodney Hudson Officiating. A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to graveside.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Christine Odum; son Troy Odum (Amy) of Jackson; daughter Sandy Barnes (Rick) of Lake Blackshear; brother Larry A. Odum (Becky M.) of Lake Blackshear; grandchildren Austin Hale, McKenzie Odum, Kelsie Montalvo (Louie), and Zach Baldwin. Also surviving are two nieces Mandy Odum Fitzgerald and Nancy Collins (Hugh); and a step-father Joseph G. Truluck.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
