Roy Dean Lucas, age 46, of 447 Brady Rd., Americus, died Monday, January 2, 2017 at his home. He was born September 20, 1970 in Milledgeville to Joshua Lucas and the late Eula Grace Bynum Lucas. Funeral services will be private. Survivors include his father, Joshua Lucas of Cochran; wife, Desmia Lucas of Oglethorpe; a son, William Lucas of Oglethorpe; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Lucas-Murillo and Jorge Murillo-Paz of Oglethorpe; and two step-daughters: Kristen Green and Victoria Goodman, both of Americus. Also surviving are his companion, Katie Lucas of Americus and her four children: Christina Pugh of Americus, Kimberly Flynt of Ellaville, Russell Pugh of Americus, and Alston Harbuck of Americus; a brother, Mitchell Lucas of Americus; a sister, Michelle Lucas of Valdosta; and two grandchildren. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of these arrangements.
