Rodney Elvin McGlamery, 84, of Cobb, died Monday, November 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 5, 1932 in Climax to the late James LeRoy McGlamery and Lula Griffin McGlamery. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Kiwanis Club, and the Heart of Georgia Emmaus Group. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 at DeSoto United Methodist Church. Rev. Guy Mathis and Rev. Stan McGlamery will officiate the service. Music will be provided by Behind The Cross. Burial will be held at a later date. Survivors include a son, Roger and Linda McGlamery of Meritt Island, FL; a brother, Robert McGlamery of Utah; and a sister, Martha Ann Cox of Orlando, FL. Also surviving are a grandson, Josh Lockhart of Melrose, FL; and two great-grandsons, Justin Lockhart and Bentley Lockhart of Melrose, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to DeSoto United Methodist Church, Luke St., DeSoto, GA 31743. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of these arrangements.
