Richard Cooney Law, age 62, of 411 Tommy Smith Road, Leslie, died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center on Friday, August 29, 2014. A native of Leslie, he was born November 8, 1951, the son of the late Obie and Laurie Fountain Law. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 31, 2014, at 4:00 PM at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Myers officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 31, 2014, at 2:30 pm, at Central Baptist Church and at other times, the residence of Jo Jones, 1803 Rose Ave., Americus. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International, Americus Camp, P.O. Box 722, Americus, GA 31709 or a charity of your choice. Survivors include wife Donna Law of Leslie, two daughters and son-in-law, Meredith & Rod Murray of Leesburg, Mallorie Law of Leslie, as well as a son Mason Law of Kennesaw; sisters Elaine Hargrove of Americus, Marie Colter of Tennessee; sisters-in-law Jo Jones of Americus, Debra & Steve James of Leslie, Robert & Dianna Jones; a brother-in-law Olin Hargrove; a grandchild, William Preston Dismuke and a number of nieces & nephews.
