Mrs. Peggy Perry Cawthon, age 90, of 2208 Chapman Dr., Albany, died at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Thursday, June 24, 2010. A native of Fayette County, Alabama, Mrs. Cawthon was born November 6, 1919, the daughter of William and Delonia Perry. Mrs. Cawthon was a member of Elam Church of Christ and the Garden Club of Toccoa. She and her sister built B29 Bombers during World War II. Mrs. Cawthon was an LPN, a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association, 15121 Gillionville Rd, Albany, Ga. 31707. Survivors include two sons, Lanny and Marian Cawthon of Washington, DC and Perry and Robin Cawthon of Albany; two grandchildren, Graham Cawthon of Shelby, NC. and David and Suni Cawthon of Toccoa; two great grandchildren, Jacob Guy Cawthon and Seth Coker Cawthon of Toccoa and a number of nieces and nephews.
