Ms. Paige Devon Hogsed, age 26, of 1664 Upper River Road, died late Tuesday night, August 26, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Ms. Hogsed was born December 2, 1981. She was a 2000 graduate of Southland Academy and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University with a BA degree in Business and Human Resources. Ms. Hogsed attended Salem United Methodist Church and was employed at Sumter Retirement Village in Plains. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 29, 2008 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Carter and Jack Holbrook officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Loska, George Young, John Curtis Bonner, Raymond Marchbanks, Ronnie Lee and Paul Hall. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 942 Upper River Road, Americus, Ga. 31709 or Hospice of Americus and Sumter County, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel, 142 Southland Road. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Debbie and Steve Brown of Americus, her father, Larry Troy Hogsed of Cobb; two sisters, Tammi Jo Hogsed Childs and husband James David of Monroe and Tanzy Ann Hogsed of Americus; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Tommy Bonner of LaGrange and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Brown, Jr. of Moultrie; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Dorminy of Cobb and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
