Mr. Nieves Manuel Garcia, age 75, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Lillian G. Carter Nursing Center. Mr. Garcia was born in Houston, Texas, August 5, 1933, a son of the late Jose Garcia and Santor Peus Perez Garcia. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Rivera Garcia in August 1994.\r\n A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 18 at St. Marys Catholic Church with Msgr. Lawrence Lucree and Mr. Chet Crawley officiating. \r\n Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Belia and Manuel De La Rosa of Bowling Green, Fl; five sons and one daughter-in-law, Ramiro Garcia of Americus, Manuel Garcia, Jr. of Bowling Green, Fl, Oscar Garcia of Clinton, Ms., Joe Garcia of Americus and Lupe and Angie Garcia of Americus; one sister, Pauline Gomez and one brother, Tino Garcia, both of Texas. Twenty grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren also survive. Service: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 18 at St. Marys Catholic Church with Msgr. Lawrence Lucree and Mr. Chet Crawley officiating.
