Mrs. Nadine H. Fowler, age 79, of 114 Sullivan Dr., Americus, died late Wednesday evening, September 2, 2009, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Schley County, Mrs. Fowler was born the daughter of John David Hodge and Mildred Parks Hodge. She operated Fowlers Nursery in Smithville for a number of years. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Faye Schaller of Americus and a son and daughter-in-law, John and Beth Fowler of Americus; two sisters, Ann White and Kate Bullard, both of Americus; two grandchildren, Kathryn Fowler and Jennifer Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Austin Fowler. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus, Ga. 31719. Cemetery: Oak Grove Cemetery , Americus Visitation: The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 and 8 PM, Friday, September 4, 2009, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Service: Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. William Hall officiating.
