Michaela McKay Dupree, age 69, of Columbus, died Tuesday evening, April 27, 2010, at Columbus Regional Medical Center. A native of McRae, Georgia, Ms. Dupree was born February 1, 1941, the daughter of Donald M. and Gloria Andre Parker McKay. Ms. Dupree was a retired nurse from Chattahoochee Valley Home Health Care. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 30, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Parks officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the home of Ben and Marsha Dupree, 881 Upper River Rd., Americus. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ginger Dupree Schrimsher and Mike of St. Simmons Island; a son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Marsha Dupree of Americus; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Col. Donald M. McKay, Ret. U.S. Army and Pat of Columbus and Wright McKay of Jacksonville, Fl.; three grandchildren, Whitney Bowen, Bentley Dupree and William Schrimsher and one great grandchild, Andrew Bowen.
