Michael Adams, 64, of Leslie, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home. He was born February 14, 1953 in Dawson to the late Howard Elliot Adams and Winifred Hamlin Adams. He was a member of Leslie United Methodist Church and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also active in the community as a member of the Leslie Men's Club and the Leslie Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Leslie United Methodist Church. Rev. Tommy Mason will officiate the service. Burial will follow in DeSoto Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Leigh Adams of Americus; a son, Michael Edward Adams of Americus; a sister, Margie Adams of Decatur; and two sisters-in-law: Donna (Shelby) Ray of Andersonville, and Susie (Mike) Clark of Americus. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Kaytlyan Meadow of Ellaville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Adams.
