Merle (Molly) Nathasingh, 91 passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025 at Magnolia Manor in Americus, Georgia. She was born on June 30, 1933 to Sookram and Phuljarya Ramlogan at Siparia Road, Trinidad, West Indies. Along with her four sons, she emigrated from Trinidad to Boston, Massachusetts in 1972, to join her husband Natram Nathasingh, now deceased. She became a naturalized US citizen in 1978.

Merle worked as a seamstress and sewed clothes for her own children to wear when they were young. Her first job in Boston was a seamstress in a clothing factory. She later worked in medical records for the Boston City Hospital, Mass General Hospital, St. Margaret's, and St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Merle received the Lord Jesus in the Spring of 1969 and became a long-time member of the Greater Grace Church in Boston. Merle served the Lord Jesus faithfully from her new birth in Christ until her death.

Merle Nathasingh was truly blessed with a large family and was in constant touch with her siblings across many time zones. She was gregarious and opinionated while loving, nurturing, and welcoming.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Natram Nathasingh, her father, Sookram, her mother, Phuljarya, sisters, Polly and Esther, and granddaughter, Lesley.

Merle is survived by her sons and their wives, Morrison (Linda), Jefferson (Jennifer), Indar (Mary), and Mitra (Patricia) and her daughter-in-law Priscilla.

She is the sister of Roopnarine, Dolly, Savitri, Shirley, Krishna, Vivian, Carol, and Raphael. And sister-in-law of Roni, Raj, and Alice.

Merle has seven surviving grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Merle loved her family and the Body of Christ, dearly. She will be missed by all.
