Mary Frances Enfinger, 86, passed away last Saturday at her residence at Sumter Retirement Village in Plains, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church in Blakely. The family will greet friends at the church an hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Blakely Cemetery. Frances was born October 28, 1932 in Rehoboth, AL to the late Coy and Mary Helms DeVane. She grew up in Rehoboth and graduated from Rehoboth High School; and married Glynn Enfinger while he was serving in the Marines during the Korean War, and moved to Blakely in 1954. She was employed at the Dothan Hosiery Mill, First State Bank, and the Georgia Telephone Corporation. In 1973, she entered Albany Cosmetology school and would later open up her own beauty salon which she operated for the next 20 years. She attended Southside Baptist Church from its startup, and was very active in her church across the years. She loved her church, her Sunday School class, the SONbeamers, and especially the "Red Hats". She was a good neighbor offering support any way she could. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mac and Amy Enfinger of Milledgeville, and Mike and Sheila Enfinger of Americus; granddaughter, Erinn Camp (Taylor) of Atlanta; three grandsons: Dan Enfinger (Kristen) of Greenville, SC, Trey Enfinger (Rachael) of Augusta, and Harrison Enfinger of Savannah. Also surviving are six great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Enfinger; daughter-in-law Cheri Enfinger; sister, Helen Enfinger; and brother, Jessie DeVane. Frances' children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Frances' generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness will always be remembered by those she touched. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church "Benevolence Fund". Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
