Mrs. Mary Elaine Douglas, age 84, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 peacefully at her residence. Mrs. Douglas was born in Lee County on November 02, 1935 to the late Johnie and Elizabeth Tucker. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Montezuma United Methodist Church. She had a servant's heart. She enjoyed taking care of her family. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Leslie Cemetery with Rev. Scott Tucker officiating. Survivors include her two sons, Robert(Vickie) Douglas, Jr. of Smithville and Mark(Debbie) Douglas of Byron; one brother, Larry(Phyllis) Tucker of Smithville; one brother in law, Howard Stanford of Americus; six grandchildren, Rob(Parker) Douglas, Jon Douglas, Amber Douglas, Ryan Douglas, and Stephanie Douglas; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Douglas and Rett Douglas. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to Montezuma United Methodist Church 201 N. Dooly St. Montezuma, GA 31063 and Methodist Children's Home 304 Pierce Ave Macon, GA 31204 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and beloved husband of 58 years, Robert Douglas Sr.
