Mary Frank Countryman, age 91, of 806 Fairfield Ave., Americus, died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at her residence. A native of Edison, she was born June 21, 1923, the daughter of the late John the Baptist Woolsey and Jessie Ferguson Woolsey. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Americus. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Benevolence Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Mauldin officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Americus, 221 S. Lee Street, Americus, GA 31709. Survivors include two daughters, Marie Mathis and Wynelle Summerlin, both of Americus; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Countryman, Sr.; a daughter, Mary Dean Countryman; a son, Edward A. "Dean" Countryman, Jr.; and her sister Hazel Bass.
