Marvin Lee Nutt, age 82, of 2721 Highway 195 N., died at his residence Monday, May 25, 2015. A native of Cordele, he was born September 16, 1932, the son of the late Daniel H. and Bertha Dillard Nutt. Marvin was a retired loyal and faithful farmer employed by Thomas Farms for 56 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing on the farm. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele with Rev. Stephen Hill officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Mike Hutchens of Leslie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danna and Tammy Payne of Americus and Jackie and Diane Cross of Andersonville; a sister, Louise Burch of Cordele; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Connie Nutt of Americus; seven grandchildren and nine great children.
