Martha Kate Harris, age 82, of Americus, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Phoebe Sumter. A native of Americus, Martha was born September 16, 1938 to the late George and Katie Toms. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who would do anything for her family. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Hebron Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Will Rayburn officiating. Survivors include; a son, Jonathan(Angie) Harris of Americus; one daughter, Joan(Allen) Erkhart of Americus; a daughter-in-law, Diane Harris of Ellaville; four grandchildren, Misty(Chris) Gattis, Jennifer(Chad) Hoffman, Jason(Lisa) Harris, and Denise Harris; and six great-grandchildren, Alex Gattis, Storm Hoffman, Jaxson Harris, Axel Harris, Jada Tondee, and Robin Tondee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Nobles Harris, Sr., her son, John Noble Harris Jr.; and a brother and sister-in-law, George Toms, Jr. and Katie Belle Toms.
