Marjorie Teele Taylor, age 88, of 2001 S. Lee St., died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Sunday, January 8, 2012. A native of Ellaville, Ms. Taylor was born November 13, 1923 the daughter of the late John Leonard and Artie Ophelia Allen Teele. She was an active member of Ellaville Baptist Church, past state champion in archery and loved her family. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 13, 2012, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Foxworth officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709 or to Ellaville Baptist Church, PO Box 325, Ellaville, Ga. 31806. Survivors include a sister, Doris Bailey of Americus; several nieces, Myra Odom, Chyra Brock, Marjorie Mock, Debra Nash and Kathy Hardester; several nephews, Eugene Teele and Steve Bailey; and several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
