Marion Allen Evans, Jr., of 441 Lightner Rd., Ellaville, died at his residence Sunday, April 17, 2011. A native of DeSoto, Ga., he was born September 10, 1936 the son of the late Marion Allen Evans, Sr. and Sadie Jones Evans. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Cecelia Evans of Ellaville; three sons, Daniel A. Evans of Leesburg, John Jeffrey Evans of Albany and Bobby Lee Barfield of Americus; a daughter, Tammy Parrish of Americus; a brother, Foy Evans of North Carolina; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
