Marilyn Joan Reynolds, age 77, of Americus, formerly of Ohio, died at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center June 17, 2019. A native of Alliance, Ohio; she was born May 24, 1942 to the late Howard and Garnet Eileen Hickman. Marilyn was a homemaker who loved so many things about being a homemaker. She loved raising her children; working in her flower beds and producing beautiful flowers. She was a fabulous cook who wrote numerous journals of recipes that everyone tried to persuade her to create a cook book out of but she would never do it. Marilyn as a child and adult loved horses; was an amateur fisherman and avid reader of books with historical interests. A memorial service will be held in Lisbon, Ohio at a later date. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Donald L. Reynolds of Americus; two daughters, Lisa McAllister of Georgia and Kim Shreckengost of Ohio; a son, Daniel Reynolds of Ohio; a sister, Brenda Bandy of Ohio; two brothers, Melvin Hickman and Rick Hickman of Ohio; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jill Levine.
