Maria Oliva Vichi Frazier, age 90, of 1288 Usry Rd., Leslie, died at her residence Wednesday, February 13, 2013. A native of Viterbo, Italy, she was born January 9, 1923, the daughter of the late Agostino and Giovanna Gargano Vichi. Mrs. Frazier was of the Catholic faith but attended Bethel Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Manhatten Shirt Company. She was a survivor of World War II in her home country. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and traveling and also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and babies. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Andersonville National Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Poplin officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P. O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Robert Law of Leslie; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Connie Frazier of Americus and Gene and Ginger Frazier of Americus; two sisters, Santa Vichi Corazza and Antonia Vichi Marracini; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Frazier, a son, Robert Tinsley Frazier; a sister, Annunziata Vichi Del Carria;and a brother, Domenico Vichi. Cemetery: Andersonville National Cemetery
