Lynda Anne Long, age 68, of 813 Dooley Street, Montezuma, died Tuesday, November 26 at her residence. A native of Americus, GA, she was born November 8, 1945, the daughter of the late James Clifford Long, Sr. and Martha Gains Sprouse Long. She was a member of the Smithville United Methodist Church and worked as an x-ray technician for Flint River Hospital. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Smithville United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 9, Bronwood, GA 39826. Survivors include her brother, James Long of Montezuma; Two nieces, Karen Raburn and Jamie Long, both of Ogelthorpe; One nephew, Chris Long of Leesburg; One great-niece, Amber Long of Ogelthorpe and four great-nephews, Dylan Long and Davis Long, both of Leesburg, Wesley Raburn of Ogelthorpe and Blake Hood of Dalton.
