Luther Bernard Womack, 70, of Americus, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his home. He was born September 6, 1946 to the late Owen Park Womack and Sara Powell Womack. Mr. Womack was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church. He owned and operated Bernard's Beauty Salon for over fifty years. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Calvary Episcopal Parish Hall. Survivors include his daughter, Glover Womack of Mineral Wells, TX; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bobby Dodson of Plains; a nephew, Robert Dodson of Ellaville; several cousins and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bett Glover Womack, in 1995. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of these arrangements.
