Loraine Stanford Jones, age 87, of Plains, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Americus, she was born to the late Ishmael and Lora Stanford on March 19, 1935. She was a faithful member of Plains United Methodist Church. She was a member of Georgia Garden Club.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM., Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Leslie City Cemetery with Rev. RT Beverly and Linda Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to service.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse & Nancy Jones of Leary, Stan & Terri Jones of Plains; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; a brother Howard Stanford of Americus; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Jones; a grandson, Cody Jones; a brother Bill Stanford; and two sisters, Myrtle Adkins and Betty Burger.
