Lonnie Melvin McInnis, Jr., age 74, of 563 Henry Hart Rd., died Wednesday, April 23, 2014. A native of Eufaula, AL., he was born July 28, 1939, the son of the late Lonnie Melvin and Eloise Homes McInnis. Mr. McInnis was of the Methodist faith and was retired from Kinder Manufacturing. Family came first in his life and he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 25, 2014, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Rev. Damon Fountain officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers include Brian Koleszar, Jason Studdard, Eric Studdard, Dandon Hancock, Jason Davis and Mick Studdard. Honorary pallbearers include Greg Hancock and Donnie Roland. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon, GA 31201. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Sue McInnis of Americus; a daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Scooter Fairbrother of Tybee Island; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Nora McInnis of Plains; a sister, Maxine Edwards of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Chaz Fairbrother, Christy Beamon, Jennifer Adkins and Kevin Culpepper; and also five great grandchildren.
