Linda Jean Thacker Tondee, 76, of Ellaville died Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus. Born March 17, 1942 in Americus to the late Charles Thacker and Elizabeth Baker Ivey, she retired from Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare as a Program Director. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, James Tondee of Ellaville; two sons and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Lavonda Tondee of DeSoto and James T. (Terry) Tondee of Ellaville. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Dan Beachum of Americus; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
