Leslie Brook Legg Wellons, 35, of 913 Old Andersonville Rd., died January 12, 2017 at her home. A native of Americus, she was born October 29, 1981 to Bobby and Gena Legg. She attended Lifepoint Church. She was a loving mother and enjoyed being with her family and friends, was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Lifepoint Church in Americus. Bro. Bud Womack will officiate the service. Survivors include her husband, David Wellons of Plains; daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Wellons of Plains; parents, Bobby and Gena Legg of Andersonville; mother-in-law, Barbara Barnes of Columbus; and maternal grandmother, Caroline Sanders of Andersonville. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gene Sanders; paternal grandmother, Agnes Legg; and uncle, Ben Legg.
