Larry Thompson, age 71, of Americus, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1948 in Sumter County. He was an avid knife collector and loved animals. Services will be private. Survivors include his mother, Mary Thompson of Americus; one brother, Butch Thompson of Hemet, CA.; and one sister, Brenda Devane of Columbus Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his father Sanders Thompson Jr.
