Mr. Kenneth Don Gay Mr. Kenneth Don Gay, age 67, of 1819 U S Hwy 280 east died at his residence on January 30, 2010. Mr. Gay was a native of San Luis Obispo, CA, son of the late Kenneth Wendall and Donna Mae Gay. He was a veteran of the U S Marine Corp. serving during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Sergeant for the City of Richmond Police Dept. and a member of the K-9 unit for many years. He loved to RV and traveling the country and fell in love with the Sumter County Community and The Brickyard Golf Club and RV park where he served as Park Host. He also loved golfing and his dogs. Mr. Gay is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kay Gay of Americus, one son Michael Gay, of Athens, one step son William Manning, of Scarbourgh, Ontario Canada, one half sister, Shirley Green, of Chico, CA, and his beloved dogs Cori and Clancey. A memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 4:30 PM at the Brickyard RV Park, with Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
