Kay Colbert Guttenburg, age 83 , of Americus, died November 12, 2019, at Magnolia Manor. After retiring from Sumter County Middle school, she worked at Lake Blackshear Regional Library. She enjoyed reading and her cats. Funeral services will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6:00-7:30 P.M at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Survivors include her sister, Pie(Steve) Hulsey, of Americus; a nephew, Josh Hulsey of Warner Robins; life long friends, Sandra Griffin Wardell, of UT, Les Smith of Americus, and Jane Bartlett of Americus; caregivers, Louise West, Linda Reed, and Dorothy Burkes. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Clark Guttenburg and a life long friend, Phyllis Herrin Ricks.
