Joyce Davis Dunn, age 74, of Cordele, passed away at Phoebe Medical Center on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. A native of Newton, she was born on February 7, 1947 to the late Primus and Myrtle Davis. She was Baptist by faith. She loved her grandchildren and she enjoyed spending all her time with them. She loved sitting on her porch and watching the people fish. A memorial service will be held at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Brother Stephen Fripp officiating. Survivors include daughters, Theresa Dunn (Richard) of Valdosta, Jessica Dunn of Leesburg; Vickie Avera (James) of Albany; and Denise & Les Nobles of Cordele; grandchildren, Erron Austin, Ian Austin, Chayse Brunson, Tanner Brunson, Brieanna Greer, Austin Avera, Logan Avera, and Leah Avera; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Austin, Wyatt Austin, Paityn Hardy, and Wayden Hardy; brothers, Joe Davis of Colquitt and Jerry Davis of Newton, and a sister, Gwendolyn Long of Fayetteville, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willian Dunn Sr., son William Dunn Jr., a brother Danny Davis, and a sister JoAnn Irvin.
