The funeral service for Joseph W. Law, age 83, of Leslie, will be held Friday, June 24, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Leslie Baptist Church. Rev. Jim English and Rev. Chuck Poplin will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery. Mr. Law passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1928, in Leslie, Ga. to parents Lewis Bryan Law and Bessie Fordham Law. He was a retired Fertilizer Salesman for 26 years with IMC. He also worked with Deseret Farms, Standard Elevator and Farmers & Merchants Bank. He was a Master Mason having received his 50 year pin. Mr. Law was a life long member of Leslie Baptist Church, a Deacon, Sunday School Clerk and Church Treasurer of Leslie Baptist Church. Mr. Law is survived by his wife, Delia Ward Law of Leslie; two sons, Robert Law and David and Donna Law all of Leslie; two daughters, Norma and Richard English of Plains and Sandra and David Mosley of Metter and a step son, Jim and Kim Ward of Ashburn. Other survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Ralph) Hekman of Riverside, CA; eight grandchildren, Shad Law, Chris (Tiffani) Law, Kalan (Miranda) Law, Megan Law, David (Michelle) English, Quincey (Amanda) English, Pierce and Jenna Kay Mosley; two step grandchildren, Dillon and Dustin Ward; six great grandchildren, JoJo Law, Logan Law, Cadence Law, Schuyler English, Hannah English and Breanna English. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Hamlin Law and a grandson, Joseph B. Law. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel from 6 until 8 PM and at other times the family residence, 106 N. Bailey Ave., Leslie.
